The world of industrial construction is vast and full of widely varying projects that require a whole varied set of different skills and tools. Because of both the size and the scope of industrial construction projects, almost all of the endeavors are made up of a long list of different professionals and different techniques and tools that are used across the industry. It takes a whole village of construction specialists to come together and put together something like a power plant or a manufacturing facility that are so often the center of some of the largest and most complicated industrial construction projects in the country. There are a number of different industrial construction projects out there along with a number of different industrial construction companies that specialize in one thing or another and there are some that are a bit more mixed and are comprised of a number of different industrial construction skill sets such as pipe fabrication, or bolt torquing service. While there are a number of cross over differences and similarities, there are generally three different categories that many of the industrial construction projects around the world can fall into and be catorigized into.pipe fabrication

  1. Pipe fabricators- companies like Turner Industries are some of the best known pipe fabricating companies out there and specialize in building and fitting all of the piping that goes into that particular building or facility. This can include any number of things such as what the piping material should be made out of, the exact size of all of the piping so that it properly fits together and then fits inside of the space that it is given and also pipe bending fabrication, which puts all of the very particular set of bends into the piping.
  2. Maintenance contractors- these are a group of professionals that are brought in during the project to look over the situation and the build to make sure that everything is going as it should be and that everything is going up correctly. After the project has reached its completion point, these men and women might come back into the facility to double check over how everything is doing and if there is anything that is going to need further attention.
  3. Industrial designers- these are the men and the women who work endlessly to put all of the little pieces together in order to make sure that the whole thing is going to turn out correctly in the end. This can be an incredibly time consuming and complicated job just like the rest but on top of everything else, they have to have a pretty solid level of background knowledge in all of the other fields of industrial design so they know for example what is possible and what is not possible for a pipe bending fabrication to achieve or not. Just like with any other kind of project manager, they are not always able to catch every issue but over all they are the eyes to put together so that it will work beautifully and be exactly what the client is looking for.
