Social -> IM -> public IM -> “Twitter update” / “Tweet”
Important for quick messages or announcements 1-to-many or 1-to-1 or 1-to-few
The “follow” concept implemented as (friend + update)
That’s what I understood.

An update seems to be like a Tweet. So like Tweetdeck, maybe someone can write a C# app to follow updates of bettercoders.
